Opay

Founded by Opera Software in 2018 and led by Zhou Yahui, OPay is one of Africa’s largest fintech super apps. Originally launched in Nigeria, it offers mobile payments, lending, ride-hailing, food delivery, and financial services. OPay quickly gained popularity through its aggressive market expansion, offering cashback rewards and low transaction fees. The app enables users to send and receive money, pay bills, and purchase airtime. OPay has also launched services like OKash (micro-lending), OWealth (investment), and ORide (ride-hailing). Despite regulatory hurdles, OPay has expanded its fintech services to Egypt and Pakistan, with millions of active users.
